First Teaching Hotel Opens at UH Maui College

Earlier this month, we joined members at the opening of Hawaii's first-ever "Teaching Hotel" at UHMaui.This hospitality lab hosts a lobby, F&B station, meeting room, laundry and maintenance rooms, a deck and four guest rooms set to industry standards. Property members generously sponsored the project by supplying furnishings, styling and supplies to the guest rooms and lobby areas. As described in the Maui Now article, Each of the guest rooms has been “adopted” by a Maui resort or hotel.. Each sponsored the outfitting of its own room. Individual properties were able to encompass all the special elements of its brand such as proprietary colors, amenities, and furniture design.
