Faces of Aloha

Meet the Faces of Aloha

We're All Ambassadors of Aloha

“Sharing the wealth of aloha and the aspect of aloha is extremely important because it brings emotion… it not only deals with your wellness and your sense of family but also deals with that respect to your past, thinking about the future, sharing, giving; this is all aloha.”

- Clifford Naeʻole, Hawaiian Cultural Advisor of the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua

It is no question that Hawaii is one of the most desirable visitor destinations in the world. With lush, tropical beauty, isolated, diverse climates, and a set of family values rooted from rich history, Hawaiiʻs way of living sets it a part from the rest of the world. However, it is the aloha spirit that makes these islands feel the way they do and one can experience aloha through the people who work, live and immerse into the culture here.

While Maui's popularity with visitors may have its challenges, Maui's economy is very much supported by the these visitors. The success of the hospitality industry has become a sustaining piece to Maui's way of life that cannot easily be replaced. For there are many businesses, artists, educational programs, food sources and even grants or funding opportunities created from this industry web. It is not just hotels, timeshares and restaurants whom rely on the visitor industry, as often perceived. Let us bridge the gap between those front-facing visitor services and those behind the scenes of Maui County's hospitality industry in this intertwined relationship of the Faces of Aloha.
