Rice for the Holidays

Support our communities of Lanai, Molokai & Hana this Thanksgiving Season!
The annual Rice for the Holidays program began in 2008 when MHLA partnered with the Coon family of Trilogy Excursions in their annual giveaway of turkeys to the residents of Lānaʻi which they started in 1993. MHLA joined in by adding a 5-pound bag of rice to go with each frozen turkey. Since then, the rice distribution program has expanded to Maui and Molokai residents as well. Rice is usually distributed on Maui through the nonprofit, Feed My Sheep. On Molokai, rice is distributed through Young Brothers with assistance from Molokai Island Foundation. MHLA partners with the Hana-Maui Resort for Maui east side distribution as well.Our next rice distribution will take place on November, just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.
