Join us for an insightful discussion on the Lahaina Energy Partnership (LEP) and its role in supporting community-led energy planning and rebuilding efforts in Lahaina. This initiative is in response to the 2023 wildfires that devastated the area, destroying over 2,000 structures and deeply impacting the community.
As Supporting Project Partners, Hā Sustainability, Shake Energy Collaborative, and Lāhainā Strong are working alongside residents, business owners, and other stakeholders to shape Lahaina’s energy future. Through workshops, educational events, and community engagement, the LEP ensures that Lahaina’s energy priorities are locally driven and focused on long-term resilience.
At this event, we’ll share updates on the project’s progress and discuss ways the hospitality sector and broader business community can engage in the energy planning process. We also welcome any insights, questions, or feedback from MHLA members on how energy planning efforts can best support Lahaina’s recovery and future needs.
Members may register complimentary for the zoom and submit questions in the sign up form.
