Jeffrey Eslinger, Senior Director, Marketing Insights - Hawaoʻi Visitors & Convention Bureau

Jeffrey Eslinger joined the Hawai‘i Visitors and Convention Bureau in 2018 as senior director of market insights. As senior director, he is responsible for analyzing trends impacting tourism in Hawaii as well as all HVCB programs that support marketing, MCI, travel trade and membership efforts. Eslinger has over 20 years of destination research and tourism marketing experience. Prior to joining HVCB, he served as senior director of client insights with DK Shifflet, a leading full-service research and strategic marketing firm and wholly-owned subsidiary of MMGY Global. There, he managed numerous destination marketing clients including the Hawai‘i Tourism Authority, New York City, Visit Florida, Washington DC, Fort Lauderdale, Atlanta, San Antonio, Tennessee, Georgia, Texas Tourism, and AAA, as well as others. Prior to DK Shifflet, he was the manager, customer insights and research at US Airways and director, market research at Northstar Travel Media. He has been involved in numerous professional affiliations including the Travel and Tourism Research Association (TTRA), previously serving as president and chairman of the board as well as president TTRA Hawai‘i Chapter and is on the board for the SKAL Hawai‘i Chapter. He sits on the Destinations International Convention Sales and Services Committee. He also serves on the board of directors of the Hawai‘i LGBTQ Legacy Foundation. Eslinger earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Dayton

Meagan DeGaia, Destination Manager - Maui Visitors & Convention Bureau

Meagan DeGaia serves as the Destination Manager for the Maui Visitors Bureau. Her role is to work with the community, County, visitors industry and across sectors to implement the Maui Nui Destination Management Action Plan which has a focus on regenerative tourism. Originally from the Washington DC area, Meagan has lived on Maui for the last 14 years. She brings her background in conservation, magazine publication and nonprofits to this role.
