The Charity Walk is one of the largest single-day fundraising events in Hawaii. In 2018, Maui County alone raised $1,422,535. All the funds raised went to benefit over 100 non-profit agencies!
Charity Walk Maui County is run through Maui Hotel & Lodging Association (MHLA). MHLA is a nonprofit organization founded in 1987 to advocate for the Visitor Industry. The organization also provides educational opportunities via the Academy of Hospitality & Tourism and scholarships for UH Maui College students; and benefits the community via the annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk, Excellence in Education golf tournament and Kupuna Dinner. If you would like to fill out the Grant Application please download the fillable PDF below. The first 100 nonprofit organizations to complete and submit a Grant Application will be eligible for the Maui Visitor Industry Charity Walk (VICW) grants funding. These nonprofit organizations include, but are not limited to, Associations, Foundations and Schools. Proof of non-profit status is required. All applicants MUST actively participate in one of the VICW’s in Maui County. For more information please see the Grant Application.
