About the Maui Visitor Industry Charity Walk

The largest single-day fundraiser in Hawaii. In 2016 Maui County raised $1,095,445, and in 2017, raised $1,159,053! All the funds raised went to benefit over 100 non-profit agencies!

Charity Walk Maui County is run through Maui Hotel & Lodging Association (MHLA). MHLA is a nonprofit organization founded in 1987 to advocate for the Visitor Industry. The organization also provides educational opportunities via the Academy of Hospitality & Tourism and scholarships for UH Maui College students; and benefits the community via the annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk, Excellence in Education golf tournament and Kupuna Dinner. Participation Form & Kick-off Event Registration:

Please complete and return this form by Friday, February 23rd in order for us to prepare your Charity Walk Packet. Your packet will be distributed at one of our Charity Walk Kick-Off Events listed in the form; be sure to check off your preferred location.


Grant Application:

The first 100 non-profit organizations to complete and submit a Grant Application will be eligible for the Maui Visitor Industry Charity Walk (VICW) grants funding. These non-profit organization include, but are not limited to, Corporations, Associations, Foundations and Schools. Proof of non-profit status is required. All applicants MUST actively participate in one of the VICW’s in Maui County:

The deadline to submit completed Grant Application & attachments is Wednesday, April 4, 2018 by 4:00pm or postmarked no later than Monday, April 2, 2018
