About the Guest Speaker: Tyler Tuipulotu

Tyler Tuipulotu, born and raised in Lahaina, Maui, is the Talent Acquisition Operations Partner at ProService Hawaii, where he leads recruitment and talent acquisition activities. Since joining the company in 2014, Tyler has excelled in various roles demonstrating his expertise in talent acquisition and management. Tyler is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and was the first and only professional in Hawaii to earn the SHRM Talent Acquisition Specialty certification. His expertise in full-cycle recruiting and passion for employee engagement and experience helps employees reach their fullest potential to serve clients and the local community. Tyler has been instrumental in ProService Hawaii's success, consistently helping the company grow its employee size by over 10% annually and aiding clients in increasing headcount by 11% above pre-pandemic levels. His insights into effective hiring strategies, such as designing and enhancing candidate experiences, serving as a consultative business partner, leveraging technology, and job market expertise have been crucial in navigating the challenges of Hawaii's competitive job market.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Tyler is actively involved in the community. He volunteers with student organizations at the Shidler College of Business, sharing his HR and business expertise with future business leaders. Tyler also serves as a Secretary and Board Member for the Lahainaluna High School Foundation, supporting educational initiatives and preserving Lahainaluna’s unique culture and history.

About the Guest Speaker: Erin Pascua

As the Business Development Manager at ProService Hawaii, Erin Pascua understands that the heartbeat of every organization is Human Resources. ProService partners with local businesses to provide customized human resources solutions that allow them to maintain compliance and focus on the core functions of their organization. The customized services include Payroll, Health Care, Workers Compensation & Temporary Disability Insurance, and a team of human resources experts that support each segment.

Prior to ProService, Erin was with The Fairmont Kea Lani Maui obtaining leadership roles in Accounting, Sales, and Human Resources. There, she learned to actively listen and enhance her presentation skills that equated to sales with customers or employee engagement in Human Resources. Her career path has also led her to managing the HR Department of Akina Tours during COVID, where hiring requirements for drivers was an additional layer of recruitment. In addition to the daily human resources tasks, Erin oversaw unemployment, safety policies and employee well-being. She was most recently with Premier Restoration Hawaii responsible for the understanding of the restoration process for events caused by water, fire, or hazardous materials to be effectively communicated to customers to be their preferred restoration provider.

In every role, it is Erin’s goal to establish meaningful relationships that allow customers and employees to feel comfortable sharing feedback whether it be positive or an opportunity for growth. She will always strive to make tomorrow better than today.
