Meet Herb Tedebjork of Premier Restoration

Meet Herb Tedebjork, the newly appointed, Business Development Manager of our member, Premier Restoration! We asked Herb to introduce himself with a few pointed questions:

1. What you are excited about in this new position?

I am excited to align myself with a locally owned company that truly makes a difference people’s lives and having the opportunity to work with many of the same great people in my previous roles in publishing and with Maui Ocean Center.

2. Please tell us some of your personal background.

I was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden. After a 2 week visit to Kauai in 1991 I truly felt the aloha spirit and fell instantly in love. The following year I quit my job at the bank in Sweden, sold my condo and said good bye to my family in Sweden. Looking back, that was a pretty drastic move considering I had nothing lined up but I’m very thankful I did because I’m living a truly amazing life today. In 1997 I met my wife on Maui and we recently celebrated our 25 year anniversary.

3. Please tell us about your professional background.

I spent most of my professional life in a sales & marketing role within the visitor publishing industry. It started with that I was fortunate to be part of a start-up visitor magazine called 101 Things To Do in late 90’s. Through its expansions I’ve lived and worked on all four major islands. I helped expand its editions to Big Island and Oahu. Roughly around 2003-2004 Gannett purchased 101 Things To Do and its rights, Gannett offered me a Business Development role with the goal to expand this same visitor concept to Florida and Arizona so I moved and lived in Florida and Arizona for about 6 years and then of course returned to Maui.

4. What are some off the clock hobbies of yours and some fun facts about you?

Sports have been a huge part of my life from early age in Sweden. I play sports from soccer to basketball to tennis and most recently, disc golf. Fun fact? I played semi-pro basketball for 2 years in Sweden and was the shortest guy on team at 6’.
