Weeks ago, we took part in a meeting with House of Representatives Lahaina Wildfire Interim Working Group. A Final Report named "Laulima for Lahaina" was published that outlines key issues and recommendations based on their research. Furthermore, we contributed to the SMS input for HTA's marketing plan in regards to Maui's Tourism Recovery and attended the MVB presentation at the annual meeting held at the Maui Ocean Center. Conclusively, HTA recently approved an immediate six-month action plan for 2024 to help address major challenges confronting residents, small businesses, visitor industry providers, Maui’s economy, and families seeking housing.
FEMA, in coordination with other federal agencies (OFAs), the State of Hawai’i andthe County of Maui have created video public service announcements (PSAs) to provide additional details regarding the recovery process for the Maui survivors. Many of these videos, offered in multilingual options to ensure the broadest coverage, also provide updates and information to limited-English proficient Mauiresidents. There are two versions of a MP4 file in a folder on the Google drive page.
