Angela Vento to Chair the 45th Maui Charity Walk

The Maui Hotel & Lodging Association (MHLA) is excited to announce that Angela Vento, General Manager of Wailea Beach Resort – Marriott, Maui, will chair the 2024 Maui County Charity Walk. Mrs. Vento along with the organizing committee, will oversee the Charity Walk held for Maui County on Saturday, May 4th, 2024.

“It is heartwarming to serve Maui as the Charity Walk Chairperson for Maui County 2024,” shared Angela Vento, GM of Wailea Beach Resort. “I am eager to collaborate with our MHLA membership and the local community to support Maui County’s nonprofits. Their efforts are crucial for our island’s well-being.”

The Charity Walk, one of the largest single-day fundraisers in the state, will be held simultaneously on Kaua’i, Oahu, Maui and Hawaii Island on Saturday, May 4th of this year. In 2023, Maui County raised more than $1.3 million which benefitted hundreds of local nonprofit organizations, and for the last 14 years, Maui has raised more money than any other county in Hawaii! The 2024 goal is to exceed last year and bring in $1.4 millionfor our deserving charities. Since 1980, when MHLA began hosting the event, Mauiresidents have raised a cumulative total of $17.8 million, all of which remains in the County to benefit the local community.
