General Manager of Andaz Wailea Resort

Richard started his Hyatt career in 1997 as a front desk host at Hyatt Regency Chicago. His previous role was the General Manager, Park Hyatt St Kitts in 2022. Prior to St Kitts, he was General Manager at Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach, 2018. Richard earned a MBA from Capella University in 2016 and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Hospitality Management from Chicago State University in 1999. He also has an Associate of Arts Degree in Finance from City Colleges of Chicago in 1997.

Richard is a proud husband to a Maui native, and father of two boys. He has volunteered on the Workforce Committee, giving mentorship to the Baldwin High school AOHT classes and has helped with the Kupuna Appreciation Holiday giveaways.

Richard became Chair of the Maui Hotel & Lodging Association in September of 2026.
