Justin Yoshino is the founder and president of Market Advantage, a locally owned company with established business relationships in Hawaii, Japan, Philippines, and the mainland U.S. and is a full-service marketing, events, and promotional firm specializing in the Hawaiian market. Mr. Yoshino offers more than 30 years of experience involving the restaurant, fast food, fine dining and travel industry including operations and training, public relations, advertising, sales and marketing, event planning and promotions.

Mr. Yoshino has a diverse background, including hands on experience in all areas of restaurant operations and management. He has held the positions of Hawaii Regional Director of Marketing for Restaurants Unlimited, Tri Star Restaurant Group, served as General Manager of Aqua Restaurant, 3660 On The Rise, Haagen Dazs Shops Hawaii and Guam, as well as coordinator for the Kauai Best Bartenders Competition, Maxim Model Search Hawaii and has worked with the NBA and NFL. He is a current member of the Hawaii Lodging and Tourism Association, Board Member of the Hawaii Chamber of Commerce, former Board Member of the Hawaii Restaurant Association, Board Member for the Miss Hawaii USA and Miss Hawaii Teen USA Pageant. He has consulted with many resorts, bar and restaurants on signature cocktails, back bar programs, wine and champagnes.

Mr. Yoshino enjoys golfing, snow skiing, traveling the world, fine wine, whiskey and cooking. He enjoys tasting new wines from the wine country on the west coast, Spain, Italy, France and Germany. He loves the food and beverage industry and creating memorable experiences for guests around the world. His favorite go to meal would be Abolut Elyx Martini shaken hard with a lemon twist or stuffed blue cheese olives, Caesar salad, a rib-eye steak grilled to perfection on Keawe charcoal, rice, Kim Chee, Ewa sweet corn and the steak paired with a glass of red Bordeaux. Best meal ever – with Chef Charles from the Slanted Door who flew to Hawaii to cook for his birthday dinner!
