General Manager of The Westin Nanea Ocean Villas

Chris Rabang is currently the General Manager of The Westin Nanea Ocean Villas, a property which he opened in 2017. He was raised on Maui and is a graduate of Maui High School. He graduated from Santa Clara University in Northern California and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing.

Chris has over 25 years of experience in the Hotel Industry. He was part of the opening team of The Westin Ka’anapali Ocean Resort Villas and Westin Ka’anapali Ocean Resort Villas North, as well as being the opening Complex General Manager for two Sheraton properties in Samoa.Chris has also held a regional role for Starwood Hawaii & French Polynesia before returning to Resort Operations.

Chris serves on several Boards in the community. He currently is Co-Chairperson for the UH Maui Campus Hospitality Advisory Committee and Vice Chair of the Maui Visitors & Convention Bureau. He also sits on the Board for Maui Heath Foundation, the West Maui Benefit Fund and Ka’anapali North Beach Masters Association. He also served as Chairperson for the Maui Hotel Lodging Association Visitors Industry Charity Walk for the 2020 & 2021 campaigns, which generated $1.3 million benefitting local non-profits here in Maui County.

Chris is married for 19 years to Celeste and has two sons, D’Marco (18 years) and Dominic (14 years).
