MHLA PAYS TRIBUTE TO 500 SENIOR CITIZENS

WAILUKU, MAUI - MHLA pays tribute to 500 senior citizens during our annual Kupuna Dinner held on Thursday, December 8.  The Wailuku Community Center was transformed into an elegant dining hall with a scrumptious holiday feast provided by the following properties:

  • The Westin Maui Resort & Spa
  • Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa

This event is made possible thanks to the contributions of our many other partners - The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua provides the event coordination, sound system, Santa & Mrs Claus and decor; MEO provides transportation for the Kupuna; Meadow Gold Dairies Hawaii provides juice; Maui Soda & Ice Works provides iced tea; UH Maui College provides a student interns, and the Academy of Hospitality & Tourism high school students serve as valuable volunteers for the event.

Over 200 door prizes will be given out to the seniors throughout the evening’s program. These prizes were generously donated by MHLA members – a huge mahalo to those who provided door prizes.
